The right handlebar height for stunt scooters - size chart & tips

Do you want your child to ride safely and have fun? Then pay attention to the right handlebar height. With our table you can quickly find the right size, for example for Chilli stunt scooters – for comfort and control with every trick.

To help you make the right choice, we have tried to show you the list of models with the stunt scooter size table in a simple and clear form. However, this table should only serve as a guideline, as each model can be cut differently.

Handlebar height ideally between hip and belly button

The handlebar height is measured from the lower edge of the wheel to the handlebars. You have the greatest riding experience or stunt experience when the handlebars are between your hip and belly button. That's why body size or age is not the ideal choice for a stunt scooter

Of course, we are also happy to help you with the selection - because the handlebar height is only so important if your child is already ambitious in the pipe in skate parks and for stunt riding.

Mounting stunt scooters correctly?

Since some stunt scooters are set up differently, you should first consult the operating instructions. Here we describe the general procedure and point out a few tips for correct assembly. As with everything, correct assembly of the stunt scooter is the be-all and end-all for the load in the pipe

When mounting the handlebars (technically known as the T-bar), make sure that you:

  1. First loosen the clamp completely
  2. Put the handlebars (T-bar) at the correct angle to the fork, which is usually silver, all the way down. Make sure that the slot in the handlebars runs parallel to the slot in the fork
  3. Tighten the clamp firmly with the bolts supplied so that the handlebars no longer have any play and do not move

Before the first ride, check that the brakes are working properly, that the handlebars are securely fastened (as shown above) and that the wheels or castors are securely fastened and rolling well

Maintenance instructions for long-lasting fun with the stunt scooter

The screws must be checked regularly (certainly after 2 weeks of use) and tightened. With frequent use, it may be necessary to replace the stunt scooter wheels. In most cases, new stunt scooter wheels are also supplied with the matching ball bearings, which should also be replaced at the same time.

If the trick scooter gets wet, it should be wiped down with a dry cloth. Ideally, the scooter should be stored in a dry place at room temperature.

Most manufacturers recommend complete disassembly for thorough cleaning every 6 months.
